Why Hire Victoria Concrete Surfaces?
Not all concrete is created equal. The concrete you are working with can determine which finishing techniques are available to you, as well as whether or not you can achieve certain levels of polishing or profile.
One of the benefits of working with Victoria Concrete Surfaces is that we are a concrete contractor, not just a concrete finisher. This means we have the advantage of being able to determine how your existing concrete was placed, and for what intent. Our knowledge and experience of these complex details means that you end up with a better result.
If you can get us involved at the design stage of your project, the options really become limitless as we will be able to educate you on techniques you may not be aware of.
Of course, if you already have a good idea of what you're looking for we can help make that vision a reality. If you have an idea and want to share, please let us know!
Installation Notes
Concrete polishing takes patience and an eye for detail. When a job calls for a polished finish, we want our concrete to be FLAT. This is because when a surface is flat, it has the ability to reflect light better.
You'll also hear us talking about "Gloss Units" (GU) – this a measurement to determine how glossy/shiny a surface is. Depending on the application and your personal tastes, you might want a Gloss Unit measurement of 400, 800, 1500, or even 3000 GUs! Or put another way, would you prefer a matte, semi-gloss, gloss, or high gloss finish?
